Robyn Gahr considers her hands to be the main vehicle of expression in her works, allowing her to create solely from her imagination. The freedom of movement in her work comes from moments she describes as a true physical state of mind. Gahr’s work is in collections throughout the United States.
In her youth, Gahr studied with working artists in studio settings. Later, she attended the Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts where she majored in sculpture. Following that, she attended the Art Institute of Chicago.
