Art Purchase Policies
The gallery presents an eclectic mix of original paintings, ceramics, sculpture, blown glass, stained-glass, photography, jewelry, and mixed media items by established and emerging artists. The works of art represented and sold by Art in Bloom Gallery are original and created by the hands of the artist. All steps have been taken to ensure that the materials used are archival and the works are “ready to hang” when the art arrives at its new home. When cared for properly, these works of art will be enjoyed for many years! Below, you will find the gallery’s Art Purchase Policies as well as additional services that are offered.
Art Purchase Policy
- Cash, Checks, PayPal, Debit Cards and all major Credit Cards are accepted.
- NC Sales Tax of 7% will be added to the purchase price.
- Art in Bloom Gallery will work with the buyer to arrange pick up, free local delivery or shipping.
- Art in Bloom Gallery ships anywhere within the US.
- In most cases, packing costs are complimentary.
- Customers pay shipping costs (Flat shipping fees are set up for customer convenience, however oversized items may incur additional costs based on size and weight.)
Return & Refund Policy
Art in Bloom Gallery offers returns for purchases up to 30 days from the date of purchase. During the 30-day window, the gallery can offer a full refund, exchange, or a store credit. After 30 days, the gallery will be unable to offer a refund. However, we may be able to offer an exchange or issue store credit. Any balance will be issued in the form of a store credit or gift card to be used at a later date. After 60 days, items will not be considered for exchange or store credit and cannot be returned.
For items to be eligible for a return, the item(s) must be in the same condition that it was received by the customer, without any damage or modifications. If the refund is approved, a refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 days.
Shipping
Art in Bloom Gallery ships anywhere within the US. Packing costs are typically complimentary for our customers. Customers will pay shipping costs. The gallery uses USPS on most items using flat rates where possible, with Insurance and Tracking offered. The gallery uses UPS for larger or oversized items. Depending on the size of the item and shipping location, shipping costs may vary. The gallery will provide a shipping estimate prior to shipping for larger items upon request. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If work is returned for any reason, the work must be reshipped in the same materials, received undamaged. Return shipping costs will be paid by the customer. Customers may request signature upon delivery.
24-Hour Approval Program
Art in Bloom Gallery offers a 24-Hour Approval Program. Customers may take works of art home with them to ensure that the customers’ needs are met when purchasing artwork for their home or office. Art in Bloom Gallery will retain a copy of the customer’s driver’s license and will keep a valid credit card number on file. If the work of art is accepted within 24 hours, the customer will be charged the full amount of the purchase. *If, after 24 hours, we do not hear from the customer, we will make every effort to contact the customer. If we cannot make contact the customer, they will be charged the full amount for the purchase. If the work is not accepted by the customer the work of art must be delivered back to the store in its original, un-damaged, state and the paperwork will be disposed of.
Layaway Program
Art in Bloom Gallery offers a customizable Layaway Program for purchases, large or small. Payment programs may be discussed with a staff member of the gallery. Items that are purchased through our Layaway Program will be held by Art in Bloom Gallery until the final payment has been received. Payments made toward an item on layaway are non-refundable. If payments lapse with no communication from the buyer, the item may be put back up for sale for other customers. Layaway options are not eligible for discounts.
Art Rentals or Leases
Art in Bloom Gallery offers some of the works of art to be rented or leased for specific period outside of the gallery. The gallery works with movie set designers for staging and interior designers for home staging for a fee. The customer would be able to rent works of art for their different needs with approval from the gallery and the artist. Gallery staff will work directly with customers to negotiate and coordinate art rentals and leases.
Art Commissions
Some of Art in Bloom Gallery’s artists will work with customers to create commissioned pieces. Our artists work directly with the customer to discuss and finalize all details of the commission agreement prior to any work being created. The artist may request a deposit of up to 50% of the cost of the piece, depending on materials needed to complete the work. The commission agreement will outline all the details of the commission including size, media, composition, timeline, delivery, payment, and any other details deemed appropriate. Once all the details have been agreed upon, Art in Bloom Gallery will create a “Commission Agreement Form” to be signed by the customer, artist and gallery staff and accept the deposit so that work can begin. The agreement includes a “kill fee” if the project is cancelled by the customer prior to it being completed. Customers will have final approval on the piece prior to paying the balance. Once the piece has been approved, completed, and delivered, the balance of the commission is due immediately. Deposits and final sales are non-refundable for commissioned works of art.
Copyright Ownership & Permitted Usage
The artist/creator of the work of art retains copyright of their original work for 70 years beyond their lifetime in the US. Works of art purchased are for the collector to enjoy and exhibit in their home, office, or other settings. The collector should not publish, license, or reproduce the work of art without the written consent of the artist or representative.
Art Resale
Art in Bloom Gallery does not accept works of art for resale.
