Artist Talk – The Art and Life of Theodor Geisel, Dr. SeussAre you interested to discover the life and art of Theodor Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss) beyond the fantastic and imaginary world of his children’s books? Illustrator by day, surrealist by night, Theodor’s artistic talent went far beyond the printed page. Revealing a dazzling rainbow of hues not seen in the primary-color palette of his books for children, Ted’s “Secret Art” paintings exhibit a sophisticated, technically accomplished, and often quite unrestrained side of his talent. Join us to view an array of limited-edition reproductions, learn more about the life and art of Dr. Seuss, and meet a representative from the Seuss Estate!
Join us on Saturday, August 30th from 12-2pm for an Artist Talk with the Art of Dr. Seuss experts! This special talk will be led by Mike Golonka, Owner of The Gallery of Fine Art, and Jes Stiner, Manager of National Gallery Accounts for The Art of Dr. Seuss based in Los Angeles. This talk will be followed by a Q&A session as we learn about the extraordinary life and art of Dr. Seuss and his inspirational legacy. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged.
This talk is part of a Weekend Pop-Up Exhibit in collaboration with The Gallery of Fine Art – one of just 99 Authorized Galleries entrusted to offer these limited-edition reproductions by the Seuss Estate! Join our Reception on Sunday, August 31st from 2-5pm to enjoy food and drink, and chat with our experts – or visit anytime all weekend to explore Dr. Seuss’s incredible creations!
