Award winning artist, Joanne Q. Geisel describes herself as an America Impressionist painter whose original oil paintings depict the Carolina coast, its beaches, skies, marshes, and cottages. Joanne teaches at Art in Bloom Gallery, Wilmington and in many venues in the area. Her paintings can be found in several North Carolina galleries, several corporate collections, and many private collections.

Joanne has been teaching oil painting classes and workshops since 2006 throughout southeastern North Carolina. Previous teaching experience includes instructing several courses at Marist College and active participation in Toastmasters International for seven years. She has a bachelor’s in art education from SUNY New Paltz and a master’s in public administration from Marist College.
Her other professional positions include 16 years as Director of an extension site in the School of Adult & Continuing Education at Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY, and 10 years a Site Director with AARP Senior Employment Program.
