Mixed media on handmade paper with Italian gold leaf

This piece is float mounted on board in a gold frame with no glass.

Frame size is 21.5″H x 20.5″W x 1″D

Base surfaces created are primarily 100% cotton rag, paper mulberry, or abaca handmade papers. Some pieces incorporate collage elements composed of Japanese papers. The Sea Dreams series have small amounts of Italian gold leaf. Surfaces which shimmer make use of cosmetic grade mica particles. Colorants are dyes, inks, acrylics, and water colors.
